Barbie as the Girl with the Pearl Earring

Barbie as the Girl with the Pearl Earring

From the Inspiration Journal:

Listen to the MUSTN’TS, child,
Listen to the DON’TS
Listen to the SHOULDN’TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON’TS
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me–
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be.

Liked the shoes. Found the heart intriguing and overpriced. Really enjoyed the white people insights. Now, as to the semicolon bit – first off, it presupposes that the reader knows what a clause is and what might make it independent or subordinate. But I agree it’s a great semicolon handbook. Now, how about you and the grammar guy, or one of you anyway, explaining the adversative asyndeton and the copulative asyndeton. In a manner suitable for a family blog, of course…

Hi Brad! All I can say is that I’m glad I was born speaking English (some will tell you that’s not an exaggeration!) and didn’t have to learn it as a 2nd language. I’m just as happy not knowing what all those things are. (Although it could make for an exciting high school English class!)
