On “becoming”

So… the Hygge Project is in full swing, but I thought I’d better acknowledge the fact that I’ve been a blogging dropout for several years now. (Since March 2013!)

Not because too little was going on, but too much! Some wonderful things, some not so wonderful. But honestly, I wasn’t up to sharing… So what have I “become” since then?

  • I’ve become a married person- married the love of my life August 2016. He’ll be known in the blog as “Mo.”
  • I’ve become a grandma- to two of the best kids in the world. I don’t get to visit as much as I like, but hope that will change in the coming years.
  • I’ve become a Canadian Permanent resident- yay! I’m so happy to be here! I’m really enjoying Canada, although I have to say… sometimes if feels like a foreign country. 😉
  • I’ve become a Primal Health Coach… I’ve followed the Primal Blueprint for about 6 years now, so wanted to learn more about it.
  • I’ve learned to index books, and have done about 3, before my life got a little… complicated. My favorites are cookbooks.
  • I’ve inherited a farm in Virginia! When my mom passed unexpectedly, my sister and I were thrown into managing a farm, with not a lot of experience or know-how. It’s currently on the market, and we have the best estate manager ever.
  • I’ve seen a lot more of the world. Two trips to Italy (one for our honeymoon) and a lot of traveling in Canada and Mexico, as well as the US.

There’s lots more, of course, but those are the highlights. It’s true: The only constant in life is change.
